Does this work on the PS1 version?

I've played 450 hours, completed hard mode from zero twice and I still haven't done hard mode mini games or the hardest battles challenges. The game is immense. I love it.

You expressed my feeling with the bloat of the game perfectly. Thank you. probably the breaking point for me was that last zone… or maybe when they introduced that pirate map searching game. I was so exhausted with the side content, plus all of those little missions by the end that ask to scout the hole map for materials. And it kinda hurt, cause at the beginning, I loved all the side content, and the little dialog moment that happen in between, which are always a delight.

To answer your question on FF7 Rebirth and it's length to finish, I did feel it. I did everything while unlocking the narrative too and in hindsight I wish I did things differently. I'm also a parent and I can't spend all my time gaming so I hope part 3 will be a shorter. It's odd though, Red Dead Redemption 2 was also very lengthy but I wasn't that annoyed by it. Maybe it's depends on my interest in the games overworld and the formula.

The thing you said about the Gi-Nattak scene... I agree wholeheartedly. This scene was such a comical mess. First you have one of the most anticipated moments, Seto's music, the uplifting story told by gramps... I remember that I was sitting and just crying because his story of identity crisis and getting to know the truth about his father felt so genuine. And then they had to do it! They had to ruin it by putting a newly made side character, that looks completely dumb with a worthless side-plot to ruin the whole scene. When I saw his stupid mask staring at me I started maniacally laughing like a lunatic. It was so jarring that my mind couldn't comprehend the emotional reaction to it. I think that it was one of the moments that ruined the overall experience for me. At least I had a totally unique reaction... The other time in my life I had a similar reaction was during the movie "Click" with Adam Sandler... That's not a good thing when you compare one of the most emotional moments in the game to an Adam Sandler movie. It was much worse then the Dyne scene - which was also not good, but not THAT BAD. I don't really know why did they change the Dyne scene from the original - it was much darker and it fitted the tone of the game much better. He was a tragic character that made so many bad decisions that in his mind - there was no other way. And here? He died fighting generic shinra grunts that finally have better aim and appear from absolutely nowhere? I loved the game, played it all almost to a platinum, but damn it has lots of issues... The best things from Remake were even better, but the worst things where even worse. This game was so tiring that I didn't play any PS5 games in a month. I'm old enough to have played the PS1 Original when it came out and went through it easily 20 times since then. I also 100%'d Remake part one and Yuffie Intergrade DLC. I don't get the hate this game seemingly gets. I adored Rebirth. I work 9 hours a day and only played when my fiance was home to watch so it took me about 3 months to finish Rebirth but I never got tired of it and turning it on always felt like an experience we shared and looked forward to even though it was drawn out over months. I will say that I haven't 100%'d Rebirth yet though. I did every world intel on first visit to the region before moving on, got high scores on minigames, fought all first playthrough battle sims, and did every character relationship side quest as soon as they became available BUT I didn't do the Gilgamesh island zone, advanced battle sims, or hard mode "Fort Condor" proto relic mini game or hard mode "Battle Bot" (the cosmo canyon one) protorelic minigame. I felt that was fine though because after the Gold Saucer party animal quest I just went straight to Temple and got the story resolution without feeling like I missed major character interactions but now have something to work up towards on the next playthrough as a "new game plus". Yeah the song volume had to be adjusted and the lighting could sometimes be too bright or too dark but I'm used to like 10 polygon models moving over painted backgrounds from the '97 version so graphics were never an issue for me. As a story, as a setting, for the character interactions, as an emotional experience, I loved this game and felt the love and reverence for the source material from the developers as well.

I think they nailed it and kept the whispers shit just small enough that I could stand it. Best game of the year so far for sure

I don’t mind paying 70 for how long the game was, especially when I don’t have that kind of money laying around constantly to throw away for every new game that drops. FOMO about other games isn’t an issue for me, personally. The game’s length was fine.

I'm astounded how amazing Rebirth was, can't even believe it's a real game. I was so impressed with the improvements on the gameplay, the music is just as great as always, and how much fun I had through the whole experience. Tone down some of the chadley dialogue and some of the bland open world tasks is all I ask though lol. With how great Remake and Rebirth are, the next game is going to be incredible.

With the Cid thing, I feel we will get to the OG cid attitude when we get to rocket town and the real him comes out. That's what I'm hoping anyway. Makes sense to me to wait until we get there, in his house, shera and everything.

Thank you for all your work. I've been watching your videos for years because FFVII was one of the first games I owned. It was well after the PS3 era but it was a game I always came back to. I loved this game, the OG and remake for similar and different reasons. Now I'm just a humble guy on the internet although as much as I love it there are a few things that annoyed me like Gongaga traversal was tedious at times, the music for Aerith's segment in Chapter 13 was a little too short for how long you're in there, and some of the mini-games didn't seem well balanced. That said, I don't think I have both laughed or teared up over any source of media ever. There are a few quality of life things that could be better, such as; saved load outs or access to weapons and materia within the VR menu, and I love to see a sub-chapter select if there is a specific boss you want to fight but those nuisances don't compare to the amount good quality gameplay that the game has to offer. I just got a consistent "counterfire" with Cloud after an embarrassing few hundred hours and it is awesome. Anyways, as much as I would love to write about this game for hours I appreciate all the work you have put in over the years. I hope to see this channel to continue to grow, thanks again.

I loved this game. One of my favorite games of all time. It’s the first time I’ve ever had post-game depression once I finished a game.

In terms of the game, it’s fun as hell but in terms of story and tone I felt it missed the mark entirely.

Or when he always tries to protect her, or when she gives her speech at cosmo canyon, and even gold saucer date. Thats not including tbe sidequests but maybe we shouldnt include those.

Not sure if it was already mentioned in the comments but one thing I noticed in the remakes, is that Cloud doesn't seem to be as "in love" with Aerith and treats her more as a beloved friend AFTER he remembers Zack Fair. He remembers that Zack is in love with Aerith and tries to remember where Zack is, I feel like after that point the love triangle seems to push more Tifa than Aerith.

I have not watched a great deal of your content, but this was an amazing review. You hit all the points that I was interested about hearing your point of view on. Also, your tone and calmness made for a good watch as well. I had Covid when Rebirth released. I was able to play it nonstop and beat it in a week with a time of 102 hours. I was burnt out, though. I had played through it way too fast and have not returned to it since. I hope to get back into it sooner than later.

Yea I put the game down ages ago and never went back. Stopped at gongaga. It just hasn’t gripped me like the OG also a thing you pointed I really agree with. There was so many mini games that it ruined the gold saucer. At no point did I want to stay at gold saucer as you feel like all you do is mini games. I still think they should have just made it 1 big games like the OG. It would have been better that way and less filler.

Regarding length, I put the the game down for a little bit after heading into the, very well signposted, point of no return. My absence lasted a month & change, and now I'm back on my shiz, finishing various advanced versions of the minigames for Johnny completion and rare rewards. But, I'm also eager to get back into the story calamities that fill the latter 1/4 of the chapters.. I'm playing on Dynamic, and there have been some fantastic puzzle battle challenges (I'm looking at you Rufus and desert protomateria quests). But, overall, I feel no bitterness toward taking that break to recharge. I know where I left off, and the story beats are still fresh in my mind. Even though that one chicken lure sidequest was mechanically painful, the plot resolution payoff had me in absolute stitches for a solid hour. I'll never look at chichen owners in quite the same way ever again. In short, I don't think the game is TOO long. But, I can definitely see a scenario where one more addition would have broken my camel's back, and I'm glad that the team landed right before the edge of overstepping the mark that would have made me go "f*ck, I really want to be done with this." I figure ymmv, , based on your specific tastes, but I'm an accidental 100%er in this game, and I'm glad it rides the line in a way that doesn't harm it for me. Also, I will not rest until all piano pieces show a cheery red star next to them. Let the Battles Begin is my next major skill challenge.

I've completed everything outside of the hard mode Chadley Stuff, so most of the game and yes it's taken me over 200+ hours to get to this point. A long time. But I still feel all of the content thus far hasn't felt like it is repeating itself. I've put the game down because of work and an imminent overseas holiday, but I did the same thing with Remake. I actually really enjoyed going back to revisit Remake and the DLC to get the plat trophy a month before Rebirth released. I actually wouldn't be surprised if I approach Rebirth in the same way as there are a few other games I won't to pick up and I don't care to get the trophy now or 3 years from now.

please reply me, the only thing negative that I really hate is Sephiroth personality ( behaviour & acting ) they make him so naive and silly the way he talk and smile, the Japanese version is better but the English version 🤮 I remember Sephiroth was mysterious / dark / dangerous & sometime Scary, in the original game even was no dialogue simple graphic but you can feel it. but in Remake & Rebirth he just so bad. the rest of game are great except chadley little annoying, Cid so nice 👎 I finished everything in Rebirth, thank you,

Queens Blood is goated, Cactuar Rush is one of the most obnoxiously annoying tasks I've ever had the displeasure of completing, and experiencing the ending blind was massively cathartic and legitimately made me feel 11 tears old again. Great video bro 🤙🏽

10/10 review, one of the best I've ever seen. I've got some serious issues with Rebirth but overall, I got more than my money's worth.

I had some issues with rebirth but I really enjoyed it, but I had a week off playing in the middle but I did almost everything in tye open world maybe a little more protomaterias and a little less altars and things like that Story-wise ******SPOILERS ***** I LOVED the final battles and had a break when the fakeout happened
